David Green is an American social entrepreneur.
He is an Ypsilanti, Michigan native.[1] He graduated from the University of Michigan with an MPH. He helped the Seva Foundation establish Aurolab, a nonprofit manufacturer of medical products.[2]
He lives in Berkeley, California with his wife, Tanya Shaffer, and their children.[3]
In 2004 Green was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship [4] for his work as "a pioneer in the manufacture and distribution of advanced health care products for patients in the developing world who could not otherwise afford them." [5]
In 2002 Green was named an Ashoka Fellow.[6]
